About Janet Ra
Describe your journey to real estate.
After graduating from UC Davis with a major in Psychology and Communications, I immediately delved in the hospitality industry, starting from restaurant and retail management, corporate and guerrilla marketing, to soon running my own business. As a restaurant/bar owner in San Francisco for 15 years, I've gained an unmeasurable amount of experience in client and employee satisfaction, bookkeeping, public relations, and keeping up with current trends. With an extensive knowledge of the f&b world and what it takes to keep a business afloat in such an affluent city like San Francisco, I've worked diligently to develop, organize and manage a business venture along with any of its risks in order to maintain a successful operation.
I was mostly drawn to how real estate is sincerely a helping profession. Real estate, much like owning a business is an entrepreneurial industry. I can't imagine a greater joy than assisting a client in such an important life's moment. As a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment where the scenery is constantly shifting, I'm confident that my background has prepared me for the incredibly demanding and competitive real estate market. Navigating buyers and sellers on the intricate path to closing a deal requires several traits that are characteristic of my prior experience in restaurant management: acquiring the ability to communicate in a professional manner, to give and receive objective feedback, and to demonstrate trust and candor.
I fully understand that buying a home may be the most expensive and significant purchase a person will ever make. Additionally, putting a property on the market may be deemed an emotionally stressful process for many. With that in mind, one can rest assured that I will be fully present to manage the transaction as delicately, competently, and most of all, genuinely as possible.
No matter the situation, you can count on me every step of the way, to help you find your way home.
