About Ali Poursafar
Tell me about your journey to real estate.
I am a San Francisco native who has a deep love and appreciation for the City. Born and raised in San Francisco, I have extensive knowledge of the unique neighborhoods and their charming characteristics. I have background in sales and was consistently recognized for my exceptional customer service and attention to detail. I understand the emotional and financial significance of purchasing or selling a home, therefore my client’s needs are a top priority. I work diligently to research all that is necessary to ensure that my clients make the best informed decisions possible for the protection their assets.
My journey to real estate began in late 2014 while attending San Francisco State University. During this time a good friend of mine (a real estate broker) knew of my decorated past as an event producer, my large network and unique ability to create lasting relationships with clients and guests. He mentioned that I should consider a career in real estate and put my skills to use. This was the pivotal moment in my life where I realized I was ready to take my love for San Francisco and working with people to the next level by assisting clients in finding their dream home. Shortly after obtaining my B.S in Kinesiology from SF State, I obtained my real estate license and signed with Sequoia Real Estate.
What most excites you about your work?
What excites me most about my work is helping people through the process of purchasing their dream home in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I love to see people happy and knowing that I played a role in helping them achieve that special moment in life: it makes me feel good and accomplished.
Where can we find you when you're not working?
When I am not working I am engaging in my two passions: coaching youth sports (baseball and soccer) and sport fishing. I played 4 years of both varsity baseball and soccer at George Washington High School in San Francisco’s Outer Richmond district. After a knee surgery, I decided to give back to my community by coaching and providing young athletes with positive learning experiences through sport. I have coached both baseball and soccer for 14 years. I currently coach youth soccer at the Jewish Community Center in San Francisco and provide private lessons for varsity baseball players. When I am not coaching, I am chasing fish up and down the coast from San Francisco to Latin America.
