About Alain Karet
describe your journey to real estate.
I was born and raised in San Francisco, so growing up I have always appreciated the city's beautiful landscape. After college, I worked in Los Angeles in the television production industry for six years, mostly on the talent show, America's Got Talent. I believe my experiences as a TV Producer have trained me to be an effective realtor. I have coordinated and juggled many moving parts, wearing multiple hats. It was essential to multitask and communicate with multiple departments to meet demanding deadlines, and even more demanding executives! Each client will become my new executive. Recently, I got engaged and we wanted to set our roots back home with family around us. I had already been investing in flipping houses with my friend who lives in Chicago, so I decided to change careers and explore my passion for real estate.
What are three words your clients would use to describe you?
Friendly, dedicated, calm.
What most excites you about your work?
One of my mottos is "Learn every day." I get excited learning each day from co-workers, from clients, and from each real estate experience.
Where can we find you when you're not working?
I divide my time between family, walking my dog, and practicing jiu jitsu.
What would be impossible for you to give up?
Family is most important to me. I have the word tattooed in Cambodian above my family crest.
If you could be any animal, what would it be and why?
I have always loved how cool and tough-looking wolves are, yet very family and pack-oriented. Now I have a dog named Hunter and watch for the dire wolves in Game of Thrones.
Which sitcom character do you relate to?
I'd have to say my favorite sitcom realtor, Phil Dunphy from Modern Family. I would love to start a family and have a promising career in real estate like him.
What are the five things you cannot do without?
I'll get specific and say food-wise: beef jerky, nachos, any Cambodian appetizer, strawberry sour belts, and popsicles.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D LIKE TO TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOURSELF?
I am Cambodian/French/American. I'm a lifetime fan of the Giants and Warriors. I have a blue belt in jiu jitsu and have completed a Tough Mudder and a Spartan Race.
